Obituary: Phyllis Ann Mole

Funeral services for Phyllis Ann Mole, 70, Pryor, are 2 p.m. Monday at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. The Rev. Jerold Pilant will officiate with burial following at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens in Claremore. The family will receive friends before the service 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.

Mole was born on Oct. 17, 1941 in Tiawah, to James Coyt and Maggie Bell (Hawk) Casey. She died Thursday in Pryor.

Mole grew up and attended school in Tiawah. She and Paul Wayne Downs were married in Ada, in 1955. Shortly after marrying, they moved to Calif. Phyllis moved back to Okla. in 1968. She and Gaylord Mole were married on Nov.11, 1984 in Ariz. where they lived for several years before returning to Okla. Mole became a CAN in 1989 and worked for home health and then for Wood Manor Nursing Home and Sterling House. She retired in 2005.

Mole enjoyed watching movies and she enjoyed drawing, making dolls and many other arts and crafts. She enjoyed fishing and taking care of her dog, Lucky.

Mole was a member of the Willeo Baptist Church in Taiwah.

She is survived by three daughters, Becca Card and husband Mitchell of Choctaw, Phylicia Melugin and husband Robby of Pryor and Delta Downs of Claremore; one son, Coyt Wayne Downs and wife Sheila of Pueblo, Colo.; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Edward Casey and wife Linda of Okmulgee and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.
