Funeral services for Jessie Louise Gibbs, 94, Pryor are 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Pryor. Dr. Michael Cox will officiate with burial following at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor. Viewing hours are 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Jessie Louise Gibbs was born on May 9, 1919 in Siloam Springs, Ark. to George E. and Florence (Ball) Robinson. She died June 5, 2013 in Pryor.
She grew up and married James (Bob) Gibbs in 1939 and from their union came a daughter and a son. Gibbs enjoyed her life as a wife, mother and homemaker. They moved their family to Pryor in 1952 where they have made their home ever since. She and her husband loved traveling the country and took many special trips together over the years. He preceded her in death in 1997.
In her quiet time, she loved working crossword puzzles and when she was able, she enjoyed being an active member at First Baptist Church in Pryor.
She is survived by her son Donald Gibbs and wife Josephina of Austin, Texas, daughter Carolyn Sinor and husband Eddie of Chouteau; three grandchildren Shauna Thomas and husband Ron of Chouteau, Daniel Gibbs and wife Angie of Austin, Texas and Victor Gibbs and fiancé Traci Garcia of Austin, Texas; three great-grandchildren Angie, Chelsea and James Peters; and 3 great-great grandchildren Makayla, Brianna and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob; two brothers and two sisters.
