Gerald Wayne Locke

PRYOR — Funeral services for Gerald Wayne Locke, Sr., 75, Pryor, are Friday, Dec. 20,

2 p.m., at Stephens Memorial Chapel in Pryor. Brother Jim Collier will officiate.

Locke was born April 17, 1938, in Terrell, to Benjamin and Sue (Manus) Locke. He died Dec. 17, 2013 in Pryor. He was 75.

He moved to Pryor in 1970 from Vancouver, Wash. He was a self-employed carpenter.  He loved to fish, watch baseball games and westerns and go hybrid and sand bass fishing with his family on Waurika Lake in Duncan. He thought the world of his brothers and spoke of them often. He loved Peggy, his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and he loved his “Marcia Jean” as he called her.

Locke is survived by wife Peggy Poston of the home; son Gerald Locke, Jr. and wife Marcia of Pryor; son Steven Locke of Tahlequah and son Patrick Locke of Pryor; step-daughters Kathy Webb and husband Dennis of Bakersfield, Calif., Pam Ingle and husband Donald of Chouteau; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one on the way; six brothers, Richard Locke of Duncan, “Spookie” (L.D.) of Riverside, Calif., Joe Locke of Logan, N.M., Jessie of Logan, N.M.,  Thurman Dale Locke of Mendon, Utah; Bobby of  El Centro, Calif.; two sisters, Faydean Locke and Betty Lacabe Locke of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son Max Benge.
