Obituary: Charlotte Nave

Funeral services for Charlotte Nave, 76, Pryor, are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at First Church of God.  Pastor Andrew Rehbein and Pastor Glenn Lewis will officiate and burial will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery, Pryor.  Services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.

Nave was born Oct. 9, 1935 in Ada, to Charlie and Pearl (Dorsey) Johnson.  She died Feb. 5, in Pryor at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Nave grew up in the Cole Community.  She attended Pryor schools and graduated from Pryor High School with the class of 1953. After graduation Nave attended Draughn’s School of Business and graduated from there.  She worked at Mayes County Health Department as a secretary for about 23 years: she retired in 1992.  She was a member of the First Church of God, DAR and Cole HCE Club.  Nave was married to H.L. “Bucky” Nave on December 24, 1954 in Pryor.  

Nave is survived by husband, Bucky, of the home, son Mike Nave of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, nephew Allen Proctor and wife Cindy of Pryor, sister-in-law Norma Hurley, brother-in-law Leo Nave and wife Lois of Broken Arrow, sister-in-law Annette Statham and husband Paul of Pryor, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Rosemary Headrick, Betty Villines and Pat Proctor.

In lieu of other remembrances, donations can be made to First Church of God Building Fund.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Tuesday, at Stephens Memorial Chapel.
