— Diana Joyce Packard-Fleak, 69, Pryor, died Tuesday.

Fleak was born Dec. 6th, 1942, in San Diego, Calif., and was raised in Pryor by her parents Louie and Dorothy Packard and with her siblings Brenda, Bill and Louie Jr. (Sandy). She was a graduate of Pryor High, Class of 1960.  She married her kindergarten through high school sweetheart, Tom Fleak, and moved to Muskogee.  It was there that she found her savior, Jesus Christ, and where she had four children; Breana, Brandon, Brion and Brett. In 1977, they moved back to Pryor to raise their children.

Fleak owned and operated a health food restaurant in Pryor “The Ideal Meal” for many years in the 1980’s. For the last 20 years, she cared for the elderly in her ministry “Cottage on Willow Road”.  Fleak was by nature a “caregiver”, sacrificing her own needs to help others.  Her hobbies included dancing (competing in ‘West Coast’ swing dance competitions), tennis, and cooking incredibly delicious food.

She is survived by her daughter Breana Fleak and son Johnathan of Pryor; her son Brandon Fleak and children Andrea, Carlos and Diana of Pryor; her son Brion and Kelli Fleak and children Kody, Kory, and Kaci of Bartlesville; her son Brett and Carmela Fleak and children Maci, Abigail and Dawson of Pryor; her mother Dorothy Packard of Pryor; her sister Brenda Lewis of Tulsa; two brothers Bill Packard of Tulsa and Louie Packard Jr. of Pryor.

She was preceded in death by her father Louie Packard Sr. and an infant daughter.

At her written request, there will be a celebration of her life at her mother’s home 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (come and go) at 811 SE 11th St.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the ‘Diana Packard Fleak Memorial Fund’ at Century Bank of Pryor.  Contributions will go toward a memorial tree and bench at Centennial Park on South Elliott.
