Obituary- Bobby Quiggins

Funeral services for Bobby Gene Quiggins, 82, Spavinaw, are Wednesday, March 20, 10 a.m., at Key funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Ron Phillips will officiate and burial, with full military honors, will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.

He was born July 3, 1930, in Decker, Ind., to William Lawrence and Etta Alice (Masters) Quiggins. He died March 16, in Tulsa.

He grew up and attended school in Indiana. He graduated from Petersburg High School in 1949. Soon after graduating, he joined the United States Army. He served from 1949-1952 then after being honorably discharged he briefly returned to Indiana before moving to St. Louis. After moving to St. Louis, he went to work for MacDonnell Douglas and was later transferred to Tulsa and moved to Owasso. He later began working for American Airlines as an electrical engineer and retired after 33 years. He moved to the lake at Spavinaw in 1985.

He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid, his family would say “crazy,” St. Louis Cardinals fan and his love for the Cardinals was passed down to other family members.

He was a past member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Tulsa.

He is survived by three daughters, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, sister Vicky Phillips and husband Ron of Petersburg, Ind.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
