Funeral services for Molly Kenton Lowe, 67, Pryor, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Locust Grove. Pastor Brad Farnsworth will officiate with burial following at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove. Visitation is
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove.
Lowe was born on Jan. 25, 1945 in Tulsa to Julius Leo and Bobbie Barbara (Setley) Stuck. She attended school in Tulsa, graduating from Edison High School in 1963. She then attended Tulsa Junior College where she earned an associate’s degree in accounting. She worked in Tulsa for several years as a bookkeeper. In 1968, she moved to her family’s farm in Locust Grove. In 1976, she moved to Pryor and raised her four daughters.
Lowe was a beautiful woman; in high school she modeled for Massad’s in Tulsa and was the first to model a bikini in Oklahoma. She enjoyed her life with her family and friends and she loved working at Joe’s in Pryor where she had many special favorite customers. She and her brother George were best friends and companions; they loved going out to dinner, taking road trips to study geneology and going to movies. She also loved playing bridge. Lowe was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she could be counted on to be there for her kids and grandkids no matter what. She enjoyed attending all their sporting events and choir concerts.
Lowe was a past member of the Cincinnati Baptist Church in Tulsa. She read her Bible every day and enjoyed watching the Boston Avenue Methodist Church services every Sunday on TV. She was a woman of faith and her faith was an important part of her life.
She is survived by four daughters, Kim Battenfield of Pryor, Veronica Waggoner and Jerrett Gregory of Locust Grove, Cathy Cobler and husband Brad of Locust Grove and Molly Carlson and husband Brian of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Garry Bunnell, Beau Bunnell, Bobbie Collins Jeri Battenfield and Katie Battenfield; two brothers, Jerry Stuck of Owasso and George Stuck of Pryor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Tyler, and one brother, Charles.
