PRYOR, OK —
Locust Grove Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Locust Grove Watermelon Festival will be held Saturday, June 21. Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. and go on until 8 p.m.. The festival will be held in the grass lawn west of the LG Family Physicians building on Main Street.
Watermelon will be abundant for the eating. The Chamber will be hosting fun activities and games for all in attendance. Buddy Stacy, South 448 Band, The Pittman Family, and other local musical artists will be entertaining the crowd with bluegrass and gospel music.
“Last year we saw over 300 people come out and enjoy our inaugural Watermelon Festival. We are excited about this year’s activities and hope to double the size of the crowd,” said Chamber President Wayne Perego.
Concessions will be provided by LG Team USA comprised of Jason Pirtle, Mason Fine, Jaren Dirtseller, and Will Bates. This will serve as a fundraiser for their TEAM USA football tryouts in July. They will be serving smoked bologna sandwiches, pizza, chips, drinks, and cookies.
“This year will be another good time for all that come out. I want to invite everyone to bring your own lawn chair and join us for a great time,” said Perego.
