The 65th Annual Miss Pryor Pageant was held in the Herschel Avra Performing Arts Center Saturday evening. Sixteen contestants from Pryor High School competed for the honor. The girls were scored 30 percent on initial presentation, 20 percent on interview, 30 percent on talent and 20 percent on evening wear. Scott Neighbors was the event’s emcee, a role he has played since 1993. The winner, Bailey Kennedy, spoke well of the pageant’s theme, “Red, White & Beautiful,” saying she often thinks of pearls and diamonds as beautiful. But, she told the judges, she was thankful for the pageant for giving her inner beauty a chance to shine too.
