PRYOR — The Flower Shop owner, Callie Schmidt, says she could not have won a National Small Business Award and grant without the support of her customers.

The award was sponsored through Sam’s Club and only two businesses from Oklahoma were chosen as winners. The grant is through an organization called SCORE, whose purpose is helping new small businesses.

“This is going to help our business so much,” said Schmidt. “We get to go to the marketing seminar in Dallas, they helped us with our business plan, and we got a $1,000 gift card to Sam’s.”

The Flower Shop opened in February of this year and is obviously still going strong.

“I am so honored and blessed to have won this award,” said Schmidt. “I am so thankful for the support of all of my customers, they been so positive and encouraging.”

Schmidt’s store features “one of a kind, unique flowers, gifts, and gourmet cupcakes.”

“I love to think outside the box. When someone sees an arrangement from us they know instantly where it came from,” said Schmidt. “I have tried to bring a lot of new fun designs.”

Schmidt said she takes great pride in her work and knowing her customers’ style.

“Every time I create an arrangement, it is made unique for the recipient,” said Schmidt.

She gives her mom credit as well.

“The mastermind behind the cupcakes is my mom, Connie Thompson. She is an awesome baker,” said Schmidt.

Schmidt is proud to offer exceptional quality in everything from her flower arrangements to her cupcakes and gifts. She says its a great place to shop for the holiday and a rewarding business to run.
