Cherokee Nation sponsors Craig County Fair 5K

Vinita – The Cherokee Nation is sponsoring the Craig County Fair Run, a 5K competitive run and 1K fun run in Vinita on Saturday, July 28, as part of the tribe’s Wings series of races. The race benefits Craig County Community Partnership.

Race day registration and packet pick up will be held at the Craig County Courthouse, starting at 7 a.m. The race will begin at 8 a.m. and will start and end at 210 W. Delaware. The course is a USATF Sanctioned and Certified Course and will be mostly flat and fast.

Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each standard age group in the 5K race. Timing will be officiated by TATUR Racing.

Pre-registration for the 5K run is $15 and will be $20 the day of the race. Pre-registration for the 1K fun run is $10 and will go up to $15 on race day. The first 300 runners to register will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
