PRYOR, OK —
A Pryor man charged with assault is being held on $200,000 bond.
Kenneth Green, 26, is charged with first degree burglary, domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault and battery.
Court records indicate that a Strang resident was sitting at home at approximately 1 a.m. when she heard someone open her storm door.
When she looked outside she saw her ex-boyfriend, Green, standing on her front porch.
“Green then kicked in the door and began assaulting her,” said Investigator Jason Treat of Mayes County Sheriff's Office.
Green allegedly pulled out a knife and lunged at the woman. He grabbed her from behind and put a knife to her throat, according to court records.
Green alledgedly threw her on the floor, grabbed her by the neck and choked her, then began punching her in the face and head.
He made his initial appearance in the Mayes County District Court Tuesday before Judge Rebecca Gore.
The defendant's case was set on the Nov. 21 preliminary hearing sounding docket. Green is in the custody of the Mayes County Jail until bond is posted. As a condition of bond Green was ordered to have absolutely no contact with the victim listed in the case.
Green has no prior criminal record aside from traffic infractions and a public intoxication charge.
