PRYOR, OK —
The Mayes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a bomb threat at Google in Pryor’s MidAmerican Industrial Park Friday.
Investigator Rod Howell said numerous officers responded to the facility. Google evacuated the site around 11 a.m. during the course of the investigation. Officials searched the site, per protocol.
“No device was found,” said Howell. “But we are actively investigating the threat.”
Howell said an officer remained on the site for the sake of caution. Officials report the location was closed for the remainder of the business day.
“We are working with the relevant authorities to investigate the situation,” said Mike Wooten, Operations Manager for the Mayes County Data Center. “Our first priority is the safety of everyone working on site. We would like to thank emergency management for their assistance”
The exact nature of the threat is unknown at this point, but Howell said the investigation is ongoing.
