Are these drugs yours?

PRYOR, OK — Possible drop foiled by phone call

Someone’s lost drugs were found by the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office.

Friday, a Ryobi brand cooler was found on County Road 449, on the Mayes and Delaware County lines.

A call was made to the authorities by an individual who said they saw an older model Ford sports utility vehicle, yellow in color, leave the bag on the side of the road. The caller reported that the back window of the vehicle was broken out and that the vehicle appeared to be occupied by one male and one female.

The cooler contained 340 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1.45 pounds of marijuana.

“The street value of the meth is about $34,000 and the marijuana is worth roughly $3,500,” said MCSO Investigator Jason Treat, who added that on average one gram of meth lasts a user about a week.

Authorities said if anyone wants to come forward and claim their lost lunch cooler, they’d be happy to return it minus the narcotics.
