PRYOR, OK —
Sammy Stage, Salina, has been charged with child neglect.
Stage, 38, was arrested by the Salina Police Department and charged with two felony and two misdemeanor counts.
Information in the case alleges Stage “willfully/maliciously neglected an infant, who was five months old at the time, by allowing drug use in the home where the minor child lived.”
Additionally he was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, in the presence of a minor under 12.
As Stage allegedly had a smoking pipe in his possession he was charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with public intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Bond was set at $5,000.
According to online court records, these are not Stages' first drug and alcohol related charges. In Mayes County, he had four misdemeanor counts, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, one count of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and one public intoxication.
In Rogers County, Stage was charged with a misdemeanor count of domestic assault and battery. He received a felony charge of uttering a forged instrument in 2010. Stage was sentenced to serve three years in the Department of Corrections, all suspended, in addition to paying fines, court costs and completing 80 hours of community service.
