Workshop on govt. contracting

Claremore — A workshop on how to secure government contracts will be offered Sept. 12 to area business owners and contractors. The workshop will be held from 8:30 am to noon at Rogers State University, Innovation Center, Room 111, 1701 W. Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore. Registration fee is $15 per person and may be made online at

Conducted by experts, this session will be beneficial for any entrepreneur or small business owner interested in doing business with state, local, federal or tribal governments. You will gain insight into how to utilize contracting opportunities and learn more about SAM, DUNS number, 8(a) and HUBZone requirements.  Women business owners and economically disadvantaged women entrepreneurs will learn about eligibility requirements.  As a Native American, you will also discover contracting opportunities with the Native American tribes.
