Larry’s log jam

Julie Yates
Staff Reporter

A pile of brush and logs blocked a portion of Pryor Creek during the flooding last spring. County commissioners are working to get approval to remove the debris. The log jam is in District 2, Commissioner Larry Ramsey’s district. Kenneth Hitch of Natural Resources Conservation Service said the cost for removing the logs is estimated at $20,000. NRCS is funding the debris removal. The county will be responsible for disposing of the logs and brush.
