Vote Tuesday

Sommer Woodward
Staff Reporter

A history-making presidential election is a couple of days away.

Whichever party takes the oval office this Tuesday will make history. Either Barack Obama will be the first black president in America or John McCain brings in Sarah Palin as the first woman Vice President.

Regardless of party affiliation, voters are expected to flock to the polls in record numbers. Many have already been there to vote early.

But the presidential race isn’t the only decision on the ballot Tuesday. Mayes County voters will decide a senator,

representative, sheriff, town trustee, Sunday liquor law and four state

questions. See page 9A for the ballots.
