Labinal closing update

Facility will remain operational through first quarter of 2009

Labinal, Inc., a manufacturing company based in Corinth, Texas, announced today that it will close its Pryor facility in 2009. The plant, which builds wiring harnesses for the aerospace industry, is located in the Mid-America Industrial Park in Pryor and currently employs 485.

Labinal officials told Pryor-based employees today they are assured jobs for the next 60 days. Employees have been offered incentive packages to stay with the company through their release date. An on-site career center has been established to assist laid-off employees with resources during this transition.

“We are extremely grateful to our employees; some have been with us throughout the last decade,” said Chairman and CEO Norman Jordan. “We realize the impact this decision has on each of our employees and want to do what we can to help them move forward.”

Work from the Pryor plant will be absorbed by Labinal’s existing facilities in Corinth, Texas and Chihuahua, Mexico.

A news conference with Jordan is planned today at 11 a.m. at the Mid-America Expo Center, located just east of US Highway 69 at the MidAmerica Industrial Park.

Labinal, Inc. in Pryor manufactures and assembles harnesses and wired structural assemblies for the Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, Spirit AeroSystems and Dassault Falcon Jet.
