Money for Make-A-Wish

Julie Yates
Staff Reporter

Roberts Auto Center worked with Catch the Fever Music Festivals to raise $9,840 for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma. Misty Caraway, marketing and events coordinator for the dealership, said they auctioned off eight guitars with Rocklahoma artists’ signatures. Catch the Fever Music Festivals donated the guitars and the signatures. The largest bid was $2,200 for a guitar signed by the entire 2007 Rocklahoma lineup. Jane Rohweder, director of marketing and public relations for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma, expressed her appreciation to Roberts Auto Center and Catch the Fever Music Festivals. Rohweder presented them with two shadowboxes framing the word “Wish” in block letters. With Caraway are Roberts Auto Center Dealer Scott Roberts, Rohweder and Dave Giencke, director of operations for Country Fever Music Festivals. 2008 marked the fifth year for Roberts Auto Center to host an auction raising money for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma.
