A gallery of Chouteau writers

Locals to submit pieces for National Day of Writing

Writers in Chouteau will join thousands of writers throughout the nation to display their compositions in the Gallery of Chouteau Writers, a Local Partner Gallery in the National Gallery of Writing, hosted by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).

Their compositions will be unveiled with the opening of the Gallery Oct. 20, the National Day of Writing.

Gallery Curator, Roxann Grissom, invites and encourages submissions to the Gallery of Chouteau Writers. Submissions of multiple writing genres will be accepted from writers of the community of Chouteau. All ages may submit original works about their lives, their thoughts, their experiences or their dreams to share with other writers.

As a Local Partner Gallery in the National Gallery of Writing, Gallery of Chouteau Writers will join NCTE in celebrating composition in all its forms and demonstrating how integral writing has become to daily life in the 21st century.

All sorts of writers — students, teachers, parents, grandparents, service and industrial workers, managers, business owners,

legislators, retirees, and many more—and all forms of composition from kindergarten picture messages to YouTube videos to short stories, emails, journal entries and more will be featured in the National Gallery of Writing.

To contribute to the gallery, go to the Web site: http://galleryofwriting.org/galleries/79184 Create a login, create a profile, read and follow the Gallery Guidelines; then submit the composition, and wait for notification of acceptance from the Gallery Curator, Roxann Grissom.
