Strang Fire Department is getting a Jaws of Life.
Mayes County Commissioners opened two bids for the extraction tool set Monday. Advanced Rescue Systems of El Reno bid $21,210 on a new Jaws of Life, or offered to sell a demonstrator set for $20,380. R.A.W. Enterprises of Noble submitted a bid priced by piece. Commissioners tabled bids.
Commissioners accepted a bid on the new roof for Mayes County Jail. The $106,000 bid from Alpine Roofing of Tulsa was approved. The final cost will be $3,500 less due to an unnecessary item included in the bid.
A new housing subdivision is coming to Mayes County. Jane Cowan presented the plat to the commissioners. Archer Park, located off Carbide Road, will have 13 to 15 acres. Each lot size is approximately nine-tenths of an acre. Cowan said they are currently selling the lots. Commissioners approved the plat for recording purposes only.
ROCMND Area Youth Services and Muskogee Youth Services of Muskogee County renewed their agreement for transporting juveniles. Mayes County pays $23.27 a day for each child placed in juvenile detention.
Progressive Seniors will hold a bake sale at the Community Action Resource Development Nutrition Site May 21.
