Town Hall meeting set in Pryor

Pryor will be one of hundreds of communities nationwide that will hold an Underage Drinking Prevention Town Hall Meeting during Alcohol Awareness Month in April. The meeting is Thursday, April 10, from 6:30 to

7:30 p.m., at the Graham Banquet Hall in Pryor and is free and open to the public. Community members such as parents, teachers, officials, youth and others are encouraged to attend to learn about and discuss the impact that underage drinking has on our community.

The Underage Drinking Prevention Town Hall Meeting will feature the Victim’s Impact Panel of Oklahoma and Pryor High School’s 2 Much 2 Lose Youth Group. Free pizza and bottled water will be served during the event, and additional underage drinking resources and materials will be available to those who attend. The Mayes County HOPE Coalition, in collaboration with the Federal Government’s Interagency Coordinating Committee for the Prevention of Underage Drinking, is sponsoring the event.

The Graham Banquet Hall is located at 6 N. Adair, behind the utilities office. For more information on Pryor’s Underage Drinking Prevention Town Hall Meeting contact the Mayes County Health Department at 825-4224 or Josh Cantwell at ROCMND Youth Services at 825-4115.
