Lita Ford to play Rocklahoma

PRYOR — For the first time in 15 years, Lita Ford will be taking the stage in her only North American appearance at Rocklahoma July 10-13, in Pryor.

Lita Ford, with such hits that include “Kiss Me Deadly” “Hungry” and “Close My Eyes Forever” (which featured a duet with Ozzy Osbourne) and more will be playing Friday, July 11. Ford is considered by many to be one of rock’s greatest female icons and dubbed the Queen of Metal.

Dave Giencke, Director of Operations for the Catch the Fever Music Festivals states “Having Lita Ford perform at Rocklahoma is just an example of how we are committed to bring the best talent possible to Pryor, Oklahoma and we’re not done yet!”

Over 96 bands will be performing on three giant stages over the four days. Rocklahoma’s current lineup on the main stage is:  

Thursday (Opening Night for those who have bought three day tickets) Jet Boy, House of Lords, Vain, Enuff Z Nuff, LA Guns featuring Tracii Guns, Sebastian Bach and Bret Michaels.

Friday: XYZ, Armored Saint, Kingdom Come, Night Ranger, Lita Ford, Extreme and Triumph.

Saturday:  Pretty Boy Floyd, Every Mother’s Nightmare, Tora Tora, Black N Blue, Trixter, Lynch Mob, Kix, the reunited Warrant and Cinderella.

Sunday:  Axe, Zebra, Beautiful Creatures, TBA, TBA, Tesla and TBA

The current lineup is subject to change as bands are added in the upcoming weeks.

An additional 60 bands are going to be playing on two giant side stages courtesy of Retrospect Records and Tri-Label Group including the bands Gypsy Pistoleros, Dirty Penny and Crooked X.

Rocklahoma is the world’s largest Rock Festival of its type featuring bands from the 1980’s. Attendance for the upcoming festival has sold tickets in all 50 states and over 15 different countries.  

Located four miles north of Pryor, off Highway 69, the Catch the Fever facilities include over 6,200 assigned and numbered seats, as well as general admission on the lawn for over 50,000 people. The grounds also feature over 4,000 campsites, on-site parking, bathroom facilities, a convenience store, and overnight security provided by Mayes County Sheriff’s Office. Rocklahoma features a Picture Alley that allows anyone in attendance to approach the stage during any performance and take photographs of a favorite artist at close range.
