PRYOR, OK —
Thunderbird Youth Academy would like to say thank you to everyone who made a donation to the Sewing Elective and who helps make the Sewing Elective a success. Each cycle Thunderbird Youth Academy offers elective classes to all cadets giving them the opportunity to try something new or to do something they enjoy. These classes are usually two hours long and are limited in the number of cadets that are able to participate.
This cycle, 26 cadets wanted to participate in the Sewing Elective. The school didn’t have enough sewing machines to have one for each cadet so requests were sent to some contacts at the Academy to see if anyone could help by donating a used machine. The school received new and used sewing machines, a serger, an embroidery machine and several notions.
