Pair accused of robbing residence

— Two Pryor residents are accused of robbing a Salina residence.

Court documents state that Ladonna Epperson and Charles Griffin broke into a house located on 447 Road in Salina on Aug. 30. The house is owned by Charles W. Griffin. It is alleged that the duo forced open the back door of the residence “with intent to commit larceny.”

Epperson and Griffin stole a .44 Walker Colt, a .36 Colt and a .17 Colt.

Both parties appeared in Mayes County District Court Tuesday before Judge Rebecca Gore. Both cases were set on the jury sounding docket Oct.10. Assistant District Attorney Marny Hill recommended bond be set at $45,000 for each defendant.

Griffin appeared via video conferencing and was told he would remain in custody of the Mayes County Jail until bond is posted. Epperson was present in the courtroom and upon declaration of her bond amount she was remanded to the custody of the jail.

Both defendants have prior criminal records in Mayes County.

Epperson was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in April and was sentenced to 10 years probation. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia in 2011 and was sentenced to five years suspended in that case.

Also in 2011, she was charged with harboring a fugitive from justice and was sentenced to five years suspended, to run concurrently with the previous charge. In 2007, Griffin was charged with multiple counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and attempting to elude an officer. He was ordered to serve a 10-year suspended sentence.
