Warrant on Whitaker

PRYOR, OK — Warrant on Whitaker Street yields potential meth charges.

Mayes County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Pryor Police Department issued a search warrant on 208 S. Whitaker St., Pryor, Friday afternoon.

The residence is roughly two blocks west of Pryor Police Department.

The three angencies received multiple requests from concerned citizens who suspected drug trafficking from the residence, according to MCSO Investigator Jason Treat, who is a special agent assigned to the OBN. The agencies were able to combine intel in execution of the warrant.

While officers were inside the house conducting a thorough search of the property, neighbors gathered in driveways looking on.

One neighbor approached an already gathered group saying, “he didn’t kill nobody did he,” while waiting for news.

“The home belonged to brothers Billy and Jimmy Watkins,” said Treat, adding that both individuals have records in other counties, and other states.

“We are anticipating charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia,” said Treat. “We also found remnants of what could have been a meth lab.”

At this time, Treat said, no arrests were made. Due to medical conditions which could not be disclosed, the officers have filed a warrant for arrest. Some jail facilities, Treat said, are not equipped to handle certain extenuating medical situations.

Law enforcement officers encourage citizens who suspect drug activity to notify the authorities. The anonymous tip line for Mayes County Sheriff’s Office is
