Couple charged with giving drugs to teens

PRYOR, OK — A Salina couple is being held in Mayes County Jail on $100,000 bond each.

The couple was booked in at 3:11 p.m., Saturday.

Carolyn Sue Harris-Blakely, 38, and Albert Blakely, 45, are charged with three felony counts of child endangerment and a misdemeanor count of possession of paraphernalia.

When the couple appeared before Judge Rebecca Gore in Mayes County District Court Monday afternoon, they were told the child endangerment charges can carry up to life in jail.

Information filed in the case alleges that the couple permitted the abuse of three minors, 15,14 and 13.

The minors were allegedly each given drugs by the defendants.

The couple resides on North Saltwell Street and the teens were speculated to have been house guests.

The paraphernalia in question is listed as a glass smoking pipe.

Albert Blakely appeared before the judge first, via video from the Mayes County Jail. He remained expressionless while his charges were read and he was informed of the possible punishment. Both defendants are scheduled to appear  June 5.

Neither appear to have prior criminal charges.
