‘Safari Joe’ out on bond

Joe Matthew Estes also known as Joe Perez and Joe Seaman and most commonly known as “Safari Joe”, 45, Adair, was in Mayes County District Court Thursday charged with five felonies, rape by instrumentation, two counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, and two counts of lewd molestation. Estes/Perez/Seaman, represented by counsel, entered a not guilty plea. Preliminary hearing is Sept 27. Bond is $25,000. He was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim(s). Estes/Perez/Seaman is alleged to have stuck his finger into the vagina of a 10 or 11 year old. Looking upon the 10 or 11 year old child while the child was changing and looking upon the victim while the victim was bathing. The first two charges allegedly occurred between May 1 and Sept  30, 2005. The third charge allegedly took place between Aug 1, 2006 and May 30, 2007

Estes/Perez/Seaman is alleged to have touched the private parts of a different minor under the age of 16. This incident allegedly took place between March 1, 2006 and Sept 30, 2006.

Estes/Perez/Seaman is alleged to have put his hand up the shorts and skirt of the second minor, under the age of 16, between May 1, 2005 and Sept 30, 2005. The District Attorney’s office is handling the allegations as one of the accusers is a friend of

one of the employees of

the Mayes County

Sheriff’s office. Estes/Perez/Seaman is the operator of the 200 acre exotic wildlife rescue near Adair.
