— Waylon Clint Grass appeared before the honorable Judge Shawn Taylor, in a jury trial, Feb 5. Grass was on trial for lewd molestation charges that occurred in 2010.

In June of 2010 Stacey Buskirk filed a police report saying that her daughter disclosed that Grass touched her inappropriately.

The probable cause affidavit says Grass had a drinking problem and that he said he was very sorry he did this to her and that this was the only time it happened. Later in the affidavit, he stated that he never wanted to drink again, but if he did he would probably touch another underage girl.

In 2011 Grass underwent court ordered mental observation and evaluation

On Feb 5 the jury returned from deliberation with a verdict finding the defendant guilty, affixing punishment at 25 years. Grass will have his formal sentencing April 2, at 9:30 a.m. Grass was remanded back to the custody of the Mayes County Jail.
