Dunns arrested on meth charges

PRYOR, OK — Crystal and Jimmie Dee Dunn, Locust Grove, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine Monday.

Chouteau Police Officer Chad Nave said the arrest started wtih a traffic stop at Highway 69 and 590 Road, across the highway from Love’s convenience store.

“The stop was initially for defective fog lamps,” said Nave. “After speaking with Jimmie a little, who appeared very nervous, he gave me consent to search his car.”

Chouteau Police Officer Thomas Fisher, who was the backup officer, said the couple was arrested with .5 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

“We are out there doing what we can to get dope and criminals off the street,” said Fisher. “We are committed to doing everything in our power to make the citizens of Chouteau as safe as possible.”

The Dunns appeared in Mayes County District Court Tuesday afternoon.
