John Sherrod Bullock, 42, Salina, was in Mayes County District Court Monday charged with first-degree burglary, a felony, and assault and battery, a misdemeanor. A not-guilty plea was entered. He is scheduled on the preliminary hearing sounding docket April 5. Bond is $50,000 for burglary and $1,000 for assault and battery. Bullock is alleged to have kicked in the door of Lonnie Colvin’s home, assaulting him. Bullock was ordered not to have contact with the alleged victim.

Bullock was convicted in Alabama of third- degree burglary in 2002 and second-degree robbery in 1989, also in Alabama.

Jacob Michael Long, 32, Pryor, was in Mayes County District Court Monday charged with bringing a weapon known as a “shank” into the jail. A not-guilty plea was entered. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 5. Bond is $20,000. Long is being held in Mayes County Jail on other charges.
