— A Pryor man has been arrested after admitting inappropriate behavior with a minor child.

David Ross Jones, 49, has been charged with three counts of lewd or indecent proposals to a child under the age of 16. All three charges are after former conviction of a felony.

Pryor Police Detective James Willyard said authorities received allegations that Jones had inappropriately touched a minor child.

“We contacted and questioned him and he admitted it,” Willyard said.

Jones was jailed. His bond was set at $100,000 with strict instructions from the judge to have no contact with the alleged victim while in jail and as a special condition of bond.

He is to appear in court on Aug. 15, at 9:30 a.m.

Jones was convicted of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to manufacture in 2002. He was convicted of possession of marijuana (AFCF) in 2006.

He has been in and out of court on several failure to pay charges in relation to those convictions.
