Wife shot, husband held on $1 million bond

PRYOR, OK — Dale Aaron, 60, Inola, is being held on a $1 million bond, after he appeared in Mayes County District Court Monday.

“He shot his wife four times in the abdomen with a rifle, it is unknown if the victim will survive her injuries or not,” said Assistant District Attorney Marny Hill, who requested on behalf of the state that Aaron be held without bond.

A special condition of the bond, set by Judge Rebecca Gore, is that Aaron not be released without an ankle monitor.

Information filed in the case alleges he shot the victim with a .22 caliber rifle Sunday night.
