Inmate escapes from county jail

— An inmate escaped from the county jail Monday afternoon. Pryor Junior High, Jefferson Elementary School and Roosevelt Elementary School were placed on external lockdown until school let out for the day. Pryor Police Department and Mayes County Sheriff's Office are searching for the individual. The sheriff's office is saying she is considered to be a non-violent offender and that they believe she does not pose a threat to the community.
