Chamber promotes premium sale

PRYOR — Each year, area youth enter the Mayes County Fair and proudly show cattle, horses, pigs, goats or sheep. This process of raising the animals requires discipline, commitment and dedication from both exhibitors and their families.

Recognizing the hard work of these youth, the Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce solicits funds from members and friends to participate in the annual Livestock Premium Auction. The sale gives monetary rewards to the youth for their effort. The funding they receive helps defray some of the expenses required to raise the animals.

Thank you to the individuals and companies who have already pledged their financial support for this year’s auction. If you have not done so yet, please help ensure these children can continue to raise and show their livestock by making a donation today.

All contributions you make to the PACC Premium Auction Fund will be used for one purpose – to help Mayes County Ag. students. Your donation may be from $50 to as much as you desire. You may wish to divide your contribution into segments – perhaps $100 divided into four $25 awards, $250 divided into five $50 awards or $500 divided into three $100 and four $50 awards.

This year, a contribution form is available online. Click on the link - with MasterCard/Visa. You may also fill out the online form and ask to be invoiced. Once you fill out the necessary information, you will be asked how you would like the chamber to allocate your donation.

If you prefer not to use the online registration, you may send a check as you have always done, by calling the office with your donation amount. We will invoice you.

Pledges and/or payments need to be received Sept. 7. The Premium Auction is Monday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m.
