Livestock reports 11-01-12

Tulsa Stockyards

A total of 3,525 head sold Oct. 29, compared to 3,911 last week and 4,141 a year ago. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady. Steer and heifer calves sold mostly steady, except lighter weights sold $1 to $3 higher. Quality plain to attractive with good demand. Slaughter cows sold steady to $2 higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady.

A total of 1,896 head sold Oct. 26. 300 to 400-lb. grazing steers and heifers sold $5 to $10 higher, with the balance selling steady. Long haired, medium framed, plainer bulls, steers and heifers sold under pressure. All feeder steers and heifers sold steady.
