Lake reports 11/24/13

PRYOR, OK — Carl Blackwell: Nov. 18. Elevation 2 ft. below normal, water mid to upper 60s. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair to good on crankbaits trolling the dam and flats. Saugeye fair on crankbaits, jigs and live bait in channels around the lake. Crappie fair to good on live bait and jigs at 12-14 ft. in the crappie dock and at 16-20 ft. in the lake. Trout good to excellent in the trout pond on Power Bait in pink and orange and on artificial lures such as small jigs, rooster tails and spoons in the appropriate sizes. Eucha: Nov.19. Elevation 1 ft. below normal, water 53 and dingy. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 14-16 ft. around brush and structure. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.

Ft. Gibson: Nov. 17. Elevation 4 ft. above normal, water murky. Catfish good on cut bait and hotdogs along the banks around mouths of creeks. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits at 5-15 ft. White bass good on white curl-tailed jigs and spinnerbaits around windy points. Crappie good on minnows and jigs around the docks. Report submitted by Rick Stafford in Wagoner.

Hudson: Nov. 18. Elevation normal. Largemouth bass good on jig and chunk bait and crankbaits. Crappie fair to good on minnows and jigs around brush structure. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Steve Loveland, game warden stationed in Rogers and Mayes counties.

Keystone: Nov. 19. Elevation 2 3/4 ft. above normal, water 54. Catfish fair on cut bait. Largemouth bass good on plastic grubs. Report submitted by Karlin Bailey, game warden stationed in Creek County.

Lower Illinois: Nov.17. Elevation normal with occasional water releases, water 50s and clear. Fishing is decent all along the river from the dam to the mouth. Striped bass being caught on shad, trout, Alabama and umbrella rigs in deep holes. Trout good on Power Bait, rooster tails and Rapalas in deeper holes at the dam and Watts area. Fly fishing good on nymphs below an indicator, especially in the Watts area. Report submitted by Jeremy Bersche, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

Oologah: Nov. 17. Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water low 60s and murky. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 15 ft. around brush piles. Channel and blue catfish fair on shad and liver on flats along the north end, at 5-10 ft. around standing timber and on shad below the dam. White bass fair on jigs below the dam. Sooner: Nov. 19. Elevation normal. White bass and striped bass hybrids fair on sassy shad and rattletraps in the discharge. Catfish fair on cut bait and live bait around points and channels. All fishing slow. Report submitted by Doug Gottschalk, game warden stationed in Noble County.

Spavinaw: Nov. 19. Elevation slightly below normal. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around fish shelters. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits. Report submitted by Dwight Moore, City of Tulsa.
